Top news
India’s mutual fund AUM rose 21% in 2025 to ₹80.55 lakh crore from ₹66.66 lakh crore in December 2024. Passive funds led the surge with a 27% jump, driven by a massive 148% rise in Gold ETF AUM and strong growth in overseas FoFs and ETFs. Hybrid fund AUM grew 24%, led by multi-asset funds (up 52%). Debt fund AUM increased 23%, with money market and low-duration funds seeing major gains. Equity fund AUM rose 17%, with flexi-cap, multi-cap, and large & mid-cap funds leading growth.
The IPO of Gujarat Kidney & Super Speciality Hospital received an encouraging market response, recording an overall subscription of 5.21 times. Retail investors showed particularly strong interest with 19.04 times subscription, while the QIB segment was subscribed 1.06 times and the NII category 5.73 times as of December 24, 2025.
