target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>. it is available on the traces portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>annual information statement (ais).<\/strong>&nbsp;this is a broader view. it includes everything in form 26as plus interest income, dividends, mutual fund redemptions, share trades, property purchases, and foreign remittances&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/wealth\/tax\/what-is-form-26as-ais-and-tis-in-income-tax-8-things-every-taxpayer-must-know\/how-to-access-ais\/slideshow\/123692691.cms?from=mdr#1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outlookmoney.com\/tax\/decoding-form-26as-and-ais-what-the-income-tax-department-already-knows-about-you#1\" target=\"_blank\" summarised version of ais. it shows total amounts under different categories like salary, interest, and dividends. it gives two values: one processed by the system and another confirmed by the taxpayer or the source&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/wealth\/tax\/what-is-form-26as-ais-and-tis-in-income-tax-8-things-every-taxpayer-must-know\/how-to-access-ais\/slideshow\/123692691.cms?from=mdr#1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"how_to_reconcile_capital_gains\"><\/span><strong>how to reconcile capital target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>. equity ltcg under section 112a gets the \u20b91.25 lakh exemption. debt funds bought after april 1, 2023 are taxed at slab rate under section 50aa&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dspim.com\/knowledge-hub\/personal-finance-guide\/capital-gains-filing-in-india-what-to-report-where-and-how\/#learnsec05\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>dividend income.<\/strong>&nbsp;goes in schedule os (income from other sources). the gross dividend amount must be reported, not the post-tds amount. tds under section 194k can be claimed as credit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/navia.co.in\/blog\/how-to-show-stock-market-income\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>interest income.<\/strong>&nbsp;also goes in schedule os. bank interest, fixed deposit interest, and bond interest are all taxable. if the total interest exceeds certain limits, tds is deducted&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxbuddy.com\/blog\/report-investment-income-accurately-itr-avoid-tax-notices\" target=\"_blank\"
