In a recent weekly email I shared the 12 statements below and asked our users to read them carefully on how well they describe your personality.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You have a need for other people to like and admire you.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You have a tendency to be critical of yourself.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You have a great deal of unused capacity that you have not turned to your advantage.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While you have some personality weaknesses you are generally able to compensate for them.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Disciplined and self-controlled on the outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure on the inside.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You prefer a certain amount of change and variety and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We then asked our users to rate\u00a0on a scale of 1 (not accurate) to 5 (very accurate),\u00a0how well the above\u00a0statements described them. We made no claims on why we thought the above would be a good description of them or if we have used any data to get to these statements. Also, everyone got the same list of statements above.<\/p>\n

Guess what, ~65% of those who took the survey strongly believed (rate 4 or 5) that the above 12 statements are a good predictor of their “unique” personality.<\/strong><\/p>\n
