The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has introduced a regulatory framework for safer retail participation in algorithmic trading through brokers, ensuring risk management, transparency, and compliance with stock exchanges. The new rules mandate API-based algo trading oversight, broker responsibilities, and algo provider empanelment, effective from August 1, 2025.
India’s foreign exchange reserves (Forex) increased by $1.05 billion, reaching $630.607 billion.
