FM Nirmala Sitharaman announced some key reforms -
- RBI to introduce ‘Digital rupee’ using blockchain technology. Digital assets to be taxed at 30%
- 60 lakh jobs to be created under productivity linked incentive (PLI) scheme.
- Fiscal deficit is 6.9% of GDP
- Corporate surcharge to be reduced from 12% to 7%
SEBI in a circular has made it mandatory for AMCs to seek approval from the regulator and National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) whenever there is a proposed merger or acquisition.
With amalgamation of Baroda MF into BNP Paribas MF, schemes of Baroda MF would be merged with schemes of BNP Paribas. Unitholders can redeem their units without any exit load until March 4.
