What Are Axis Equity Mutual Funds?

Axis MF Equity funds seek to provide investors with the potential to build their wealth over time. These funds primarily invest in equities and equity-related securities in the proportion mentioned in the fund’s scheme information materials. Following an in-depth study, the fund manager will choose quality equities to ensure that portfolio returns remain in line with expectations and category benchmarks. The underlying stock selection technique might be value/growth or growth at a fair price. Capital appreciation occurs when the underlying stock values rise over a particular investment horizon. It also happens when the fund’s announced dividends are reinvested to buy more scheme units. The Axis MF Equity fund, on the other hand, does not guarantee that the investment objective will be met.

When compared to debt and balanced funds, Axis MF equity funds have moderate to high market risk. The fund’s value may fluctuate in response to changes in the underlying stock price. Stock market price and volume movements, interest rates, currency rates, government policies, tax regulations, and other economic factors may all have an impact on stock values. The degree of risk is also determined by the degree of portfolio diversity. Sector / theme-based Axis MF Equity funds are more volatile in the market than diversified equity funds. Similarly, large-cap equity funds will be less risky than small-cap/mid-cap equity funds. Before engaging in a scheme, investors should examine their personal risk tolerance.

Who Should Invest In Axis Equity Funds?

Axis MF Equity funds are appropriate for investors seeking long-term wealth gain over a 5-year or longer time horizon. Because the fund value fluctuates with market movements, these funds are intended for individuals with a higher risk tolerance. Axis MF Equity funds’ high-return potential makes them appropriate for long-term goals such as children’s education, retirement preparation, and property ownership. To realise the full potential of equity funds, you must remain involved for the duration of the investment horizon, which should be 10-12 years or longer. This may also include storing only surpluses in these accounts that you will not need in the near future and are intended for long-term investments.

How To Invest In Axis Equity Funds?

Axis Mutual Fund plans can be invested in three ways:

  • Axis Mutual Fund’s website
  • AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor
  • Kuvera

The first option allows for direct investing in Axis Equity Funds via the company’s website. If you are a first-time customer, you must create an account on the website. If you are an existing customer, just enter your user ID and password to get access to your account. If you invest in many mutual fund companies, you must repeat this process for each fund firm. Furthermore, you must keep track of your assets separately with each fund firm. This can be exhausting and time-consuming.

Investing through a distributor is an option, but the expense ratio will be greater because the distributor will receive a commission on your investment. As a result, mutual fund scheme returns are lowered.

Investing in direct plans from Axis Equity Funds using the Kuvera platform without paying a fee or brokerage.

You only need to register once to start investing in schemes from various investment providers.
